This post is just an update for linking my previous post about 10DOF 9-axis Attitude Indicator L3G4200D ADXL345 HMC5883L BMP085 because this is another name under wich is known.



As you may already know this is an ‘easy to install’ IMU (compared with price) and it could require the addition of two pullup resistors in order to get it work with multiwii code. It could be also necessary to change one of the i2c address of the board sensors. In some case you can try to short/cut internal pullups using the two/three pads on the back of the board.

I’ve tried this very board with Arduino Nano V3.0 and it worked fine, but unfortunately while i was trying to unsolder the headers in order to move it on a more convenient (and easily reachable) place on my Q450 FPV Platform, I must have damaged something with excess of heat from the solder. Meanwhile, i’m experimenting with a very very good board in terms of value for money: Multiwii Mini Flight Controller w/FTDI Interface about which i wrote (and still writing) a serie of article to make a complete guide, including the configuration of the ftdi usb adapter with the correct drivers (different than usual one) which could be tricky if done while assuming that the correct driver is the one suggested on the multiwii.com forums (at east the one i’ve found).

For this reason I ordered a handful of these imu from HK and i’m waiting for them to arrive.

I found also this post  that can better explain how to use pullup resistors with more than one i2c device, for example, if we wouldlike to add a barometer and a compass to our board.
