This guide will cover the steps needed to get the Multiwii Mini Flight Controller w/FTDI Interface a.k.a. AEORC MultiWii Mini Flight Controller v0.1 configured and flying in minutes.

As i am a Mac Os X User, i will stay close to this operating system, and if requested, i will describe tha steps to be done in windows too.

 

 

 

 

UPDATE. This board seems to be permanently out of stock, so a good replacement in terms of price and performance would be:

MultiWii 328P Flight Controller w/FTDI & DSM2 Port

or

MultiWii NanoWii ATmega32U4 Micro Flight Controller USB/GYRO/ACC

or

MultiWii MicroWii ATmega32U4 Flight Controller USB/BARO/ACC/MAG

 

This guide will be divided in several part for users convenience.

This is the platform I will test this board with. Multiwii Mini Flight Controller w/FTDI Interface aka AEORC MultiWii Mini Flight Controller v0.1- Platform

 

In the image beside, you can see the platform I’m going to use for testing this flight controller/IMU.

It is a Y4 Multirotor, higly vibrating, where vibrating does not mean a good thing.

  2. I have problems uploading the multiwii i get an avr error, tryed all the programes listet under the tools tab in arduino ide. some help please.
